All of us know and have read about Gandhi. But in our fine reading we usually miss one of the greatest aspect about Gandhi , that is his unflinching faith on himself and his concepts.Non-Violence or Satyagraha or his fight against untouchability are the manifestation of his unflinching faith. He drew his strength from this. And so is every great leader.
Courage and conviction is the key.
Whether you are in the last leg of your journey (Appearing for mains) or starting afresh or bouncing back from a blow (failure in prelims) ; have courage and conviction ; that will get you far.
Self- Preservation is required not self-doubt.
What matters is to have an unflinching faith upon self along with courage and conviction.
Many a time, we feel, we have done our part, yet there is no success and we are unhappy. The reason is simple :-
Do the things with utmost sincerity, from sincerity comes satisfaction, and from satisfaction comes happiness and from happiness comes success.
Success will not lead to happiness, happiness will lead to success.Because when we are happy , we do well, and then success becomes a byproduct.
As the saint said :-
Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.
The motto here is simple – have conviction , work for self-preservation.Success will choose you , you no need to chase it.
There is no greater cause that serving the humanity and civil service is one of the fine pedestal to work for humanity.
Of course the nation wants you- but the question is ARE YOU READY ? No need to answer anyone, ask yourself and you will have the answer. When your are ready , the nation will be ready.
There is no one to stop you but you yourself, free yourself (minimize the follies) to find yourself (to get success)
Anything that makes weak – physically, intellectually and spiritually, reject it as poison
“Learn Everything that is Good from Others, but bring it in, and in your own way absorb it; do not become others.”
